All pile carpets are liable to pile flattening and pile reversal, which is more noticeable in plains and tonals. Shading arises from unequal crushing of the surface and shows in light and dark patches. Similarly, pile reversal can occur where the pile lies in different directions, not unlike watermarks. No amount of care on the part of the manufacturer can prevent these tendencies which are inherent in all cut pile fabrics. Therefore, no manufacturers will give a guarantee again this.
The twelve-month guarantee offered by Hamilton Carpets Ltd is completely separate from any guarantee offered by the Amtico Company.
If vinyl, Amtico or Karndean flooring is laid in areas concealing hot water pipes or underfloor heating, the pipes must be installed to comply with the relevant BSI standard in regards to surface depth. Furthermore, all pipes should be insulated to not exceed a floor surface temperature of 27 degrees centigrade. There is no known reliable test for our estimators/fitters to measure the temperature or depth of pipes prior to floor installation, therefore Hamilton Carpets Ltd cannot accept liability for floor discoloration or failure if these conditions are not met.
All smooth vinyl and PVC floorings including Amitco and Karndean are liable to scratching.
We offer no service for the adjustment of bath panels and kitchen plinths.
Whilst every effort conceivable will be made to deliver or fit your flooring on a particular date/time, Hamilton Carpets Ltd will not be liable for lost time or any consequential loss if goods are not delivered or fitted at the required time. Fitting times are approximate.
